Privacy is becoming a priority across crypto. Zcash, Aztec, Aleo, Miden, and Midnight use client-side ZK proofs for shielded transactions. Ethereum is moving toward wallet-level privacy as the default. But there's a problem nobody is discussing: on most shielded protocols, the ZK proof is the spend authorization. There is no separate signature to threshold. Until we can distribute proof generation itself, institutional custody of shielded assets is structurally impossible.
